About
Hi, I’m Kristin — the trainer behind Be Mine Canine.
I help dogs and their humans build better relationships through clear communication, care, and positive, reward-based training. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: training should feel supportive, not stressful, and learning should be something both you and your dog can feel good about.
Every dog is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why I work closely with you and your dog to create custom training plans that fit your dog’s personality, your lifestyle, and your goals — with an eye toward change that actually lasts.
Whether you’ve just brought home a new dog or you’re feeling stuck with behaviors like anxiety, fear, or reactivity, you’re in the right place. Since starting Be Mine Canine in 2021, I’ve supported hundreds of dogs and their guardians with everything from everyday manners to more complex behavior challenges.
I’m deeply committed to humane, ethical, force-free training and ongoing education. My approach is grounded in modern behavior science and follows the Humane Hierarchy developed by Susan Friedman, as well as the LIFE framework taught by Eduardo Fernandez. I’m also a supporting member of the International Association for Animal Behavior Consultants, and a Behavior Consultant candidate as of 2026 (check back for updates!).
Most of all, I truly believe there’s no such thing as a bad dog — just dogs doing their best with the information they have.
If you’re ready to build a calmer, more connected relationship with your dog, I’d love to work with you.
